Free SPF checker

Check a domain's SPF record and how many of the 10 DNS lookups it uses.

What this checks

  • Whether the domain publishes an SPF record.
  • How many of the 10 permitted DNS lookups it uses (and void lookups).
  • The includes it expands to, and any warnings the record raises.

SPF has hard limits that break it silently once you exceed them. We explain them in fixing too many DNS lookups. To see the full picture for a domain, run the DMARC checker.
